Credit & Sales Workshop
With businesses returning after the lockdown there are now two main priorities, the first is to start the sales rolling in to make up for lost time and to get the whole business back running again. The second is cash flow, making sure that you have the funds available to pay your bills as they fall due.
Now more than ever it is vital that your Sales and Credit departments work together as a single unit, to maximise profitable sales and ensure a healthy cash flow.
Over a two hour Zoom meeting,, your sales and credit people will learn what they need to do for each other, to avoid conflict, remain customer focused and take into account the additional risks that abound.
Of course the sales team want to deliver every order and of course the credit team only want orders to go to accounts that are paid up to date and within specified limits.
Now is not the time for internal conflict, it is a time to work together to maximise profitable sales. You need to make the process from Lead to Cash seamless and efficient and this workshop will show you how.
There is a real dilemma here; do you insist that all old amounts are paid in full before further goods can be delivered on credit? If this approach is enforced, it may see a sharp reduction in business. On the other hand if you continue to give additional credit to everyone, you are leaving yourself exposed to the possibility of delayed payments or an increase in bad debts that will have a negative impact on your business profitability, and in extreme cases have the potential to bring you down with them.
This workshop sets out to find the line you need to discover which is different for every business and sector, we will suggest systems, procedures and methods to secure every possible profitable order. Remember the profit on every sale is only real when the payment is received.
As it is a workshop, you will receive a workbook in advance of the session, and to get the best possible results you will need to schedule a meeting to agree which of the proposals you are going to adapt in your business. We will have a follow up session for one hour the following week to check the progress that has been made and address anything that presented a difficulty.
