Diploma in Credit Management
Delivered through Blended Learning this one year course begins on the 17th of September 2022. You study two subjects at a time. The first term runs from September to December with exams in January. The second term runs from February to May with exams at the end of May. On successful completion you will receive your Diploma in Credit Management awarded by Irish Credit Management Training (ICMT) and Certified by AICDP - The Association of International Credit Directors and Professionals and CMII, The Credit Management Institute of Ireland.
The two subjects covered from September to December are "Credit Management" and "Credit Risk Assessment". The subjects covered from February to May are "Collections" and "International Credit Management" or "Introduction to Law" Further details are available on request.
The subjects you will be covering from September to December are:
Credit Management - Sets out the various stages of credit from start to finish and looks at all the factors required to make it work smoothly including a clear written credit policy and guidelines as how to implement it, proper terms and conditions that serve the business, proper account opening procedures and ongoing credit vetting to ensure the ongoing security of the ledger.
Credit Risk Assessment - Discover all the factors you have to take into account when granting credit, either to businesses or consumers. Get a deep understanding of Financial Accounts and how you can read and interpret them clearly. You will also receive tools to help you rank your customers as a result of bringing financial ratios to life. You will learn about the most important number of all that seldom appears on any report.
The subjects you will cover from February to May are:
Collections - Covers everything from the right approach to every call to negotiations skills to creating a funnel to help you manage the collection process. This module will give you an insight into the different personality types and the very best way to communicate with everyone you come in contact with. The purpose of the collection module is to get the money and keep the customer, and to learn the very latest communications techniques to make you more effective.
Law - gives you an overview of the Irish legal system - how it works and more importantly how you can make it work for you. This course introduces you to the language of law and you will gain a better insight into how the Law came about, the constituent parts and the details on the area of Contracts and Tort.

International Credit Management - We have added a new subject to the list. Students can pick this instead of Law to get an International Diploma in Credit Management and covers everything you need to know about working in an International environment. Existing Certificate graduates can get their International Diploma in Credit Management by completing this module alone.
The cost of the course is €395 per subject plus a €50 exam fees. With four subjects that is a total of €1,780. The course can be billed in advance or on a term by term basis whichever suits. This includes all material, notes, workbooks and support that you need to complete the course.
