International Credit for Advanced Diploma
The Advanced Diploma consists of the following Modules:
Module 1
Title: Conflict Resolution
Description:
Any situation where a Credit Professional has a conflict with a client, with someone in their own organisation and/or within themselves. Conflict may range from relatively-small, easy-to-solve matters to larger problems with inter-personal and psychological aspects and consequent commercial risk should a resolution not be reached.
Module 2
Title: The Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002
Description: This module will examine the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002 and the requirements that this placed on both corporations and audit firms.
Detailed Description: The Sarbanes Oxley act of 2002 is a US federal law that set new requirements for public companies and accounting firms including the concept of criminal penalties for senior corporate executive’s misconduct and wilful misrepresentation of financial statements. This module will look at the reasons for the introduction of the act, the requirements that the act places both on organisations and individuals within those organisations, the responsibilities of audit companies, and an assessment of the effectiveness of the act.
Module 3
Title: Understanding Team-working Strengths
Description: This step builds on your understanding of the strengths you bring to a team and how best to utilise the contributions that others make. This learning module also provides an appreciation of the required roles in different teams and enables you to recognise functional and structural excesses and weaknesses that may exist within your teams.
Module 4
Title: Multi-country legal
Description: Introduction to Courts, Compliance, regulatory considerations for multiple European countries. Serves as a useful comparison of different jurisdictions and as a reference when considering how difficult situations are resolved around the world.
International mentor engagement
A structured one on one interview between a Diploma student and a director of international repute. Covering a Q&A, a scenario discussion of an international event, and an ability to present your suggested solutions, this serves as a positive opportunity to share an approach with a director experienced in the International world of credit.
